DESIGNER HIGHLIGHT: POUPETTE
French designer Geraldine Roucaute launched her jewelry line in 2005 in order to satiate her need to create. Her line is inspired by the treasured pieces of jewelry she has collected in her life from the heirloom pieces passed down in her family to the pieces she has found in her travels to Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. The jewelry is first carved in wax and then cast in silver or gold and the stones are hand picked by Roucaute to create a unique look and feel for each piece. In Brazilian designer Gilda Midani’s clothes you can. Midani worked in the visual arts for years prior to launching her clothing line and her eye for detail has served her well in her recent foray into fashion. Midani has managed to put a luxurious spin on casual wear, using only the finest cotton and silk in modern cuts and beautiful colors. Her 2012 Resort collection represents
elegance in its most wearable form.

 Lanvin returns to their roots with this collection of precious children’s clothing.
The first collection from Jeanne Lanvin in 1908 was comprised of fantastic frocks for little ones and now Alber Elbaz, head designer of the historic French fashion house, has launched a line paying homage to that history.
